A video showing the interaction of a celestial with void counters. Note how slingshot void counters can pass over existing void counters and how the individual counters remove other pieces from the board on their path of travel. An individual void counter is called a rift.
A mine can be deployed in any empty hexagon adjacent to a rocket either at the start of its turn, during its path of travel, or at the end of its move. In this example, the second move by the purple player results in three mines deployed to hinder both the blue and orange players. The faded red cubes remain in the animation to illustrate all possible deployment options for the purple player.
In this video the introduction of a second celestial by the orange player is considered a threat by purple. The purple player extends a move and deploys two mines within the orbit of the first celestial and declares that both mines will detonate to destroy the celestial. The celestial is removed from the board and is replaced by a void.
